According to Sparks, there is reason to be optimistic that it may indeed be the new medication that will help slow down the neurodegenerative disorders. However, there is need for extensive clinical testing before it can really be shown that Lipitor Alzheimers will really do the necessary good that is expected of it.

Though tests are ongoing, results may not be available for another two years, though people concerned with testing Lipitor have great hopes that these studies will indeed bear fruit. About twenty years ago, Sparks came to realize something that nobody else had perceived and that was that excess levels of cholesterol in the brain could very well be linked to Alzheimers disease, and even the American Heart Association concurs that such is indeed the case and high cholesterol levels are risky as far as Alzheimers disease is concerned.
